Insider’s tip: Head for the Troja neighborhood for an array of fun activities, including Prague’s zoo, an open air exhibition of Prague Botanical Garden and the Fata Morgana Greenhouse, the Svata Klara vineyard and cave restaurant and early baroque Troja Castle from the 17th century. You can also skate, bike ride or canoe there.

Fun things to do:

• The Zizkov Television Tower gives great views of Prague.
• Viniční Altán features a vineyard that was founded by Charles IV in the 14th century.
• The Štefánik Observatory was built in the 14th century and has telescopes for viewing the cosmos.
