The Riverside Company Sweeps Up Maid Brigade into Its Evive Brands Portfolio
The Riverside Company, a global investment firm focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has invested in Maid Brigade, a franchisor of residential cleaning services. The investment represents the fifth brand in Riverside’s Evive Brands (Evive) platform, a multi-brand franchisor of businesses focused on providing services to improve the well-being of its clients and their homes.
Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Maid Brigade is a well-established franchisor with over 280 franchise territories across the United States and Canada. Maid Brigade franchisees provide house and business cleaning and disinfection services, including its patented PUREcleaning process using electrolyzed water.
“Maid Brigade is a natural fit with Evive’s residential services strategy,” said Riverside Managing Partner Loren Schlachet. “We are very excited about the opportunity for Evive to expand into cleaning services, addressing another large segment of the U.S. residential population.”
This acquisition is the most recent example of the firm’s commitment to its Franchising specialization. To date, Riverside has invested in more than 50 successful franchise companies, growing them through operating expertise and strategic add-ons.
“We are excited to welcome Maid Brigade into the Evive Brands family,” said Riverside Senior Partner Joe Lee. “This addition is a great example of our commitment to building a platform of best-in-class, service-based franchise brands that provide support to consumers across the country.”
With this addition, Evive Brands now encompasses five brands and nearly 1,000 franchise territories across the U.S. and Canada.
Working with Schlachet and Lee on this deal for Riverside were Assistant Vice President Caroline Quoyeser, Senior Associate Henry Sun and Associate Baylor McCrary. Grant Marcks, Partner in Origination, sourced the deal for Riverside.
