Application Performance Monitoring and Testing

Global brands rely on an ever-growing number (often hundreds) of software and technology platforms to power critical business processes, and internal technology teams are faced with the challenge of ensuring these platforms are operational and accessible. As much as we love SaaS at RAC, in practice we know that a large enterprise’s technology infrastructure can come in myriad shapes and sizes, which further deepens the challenge: e.g., mainframe-based tools (more common than you think!), hardware in factories, API platforms, IoT devices, web applications, and so on. Further, regulated industries may require some tools to be air-gapped or for employees to authenticate with smart cards.

Apica provides enterprises with a “single pane of glass” view into the health of their technology infrastructure, regardless of the particular technology or how it’s accessed. Importantly, it enables front-line technology staff, who understand the tools being used by their customers and colleagues, to easily configure Apica to monitor new endpoints themselves (a task that would otherwise require a skilled engineer’s involvement, limiting the scope of platforms that could be monitored). Apica also provides load-testing capabilities used by brands many of us rely on every day, leveraging a global network of monitoring nodes.

We’re thrilled to be working with Peter Tollgård and the team at Apica, and believe they have an exciting opportunity ahead as companies continue their digital transformation journeys.
