For our existing investors and suppliers, we will retain your Personal Information for sending you newsletters and marketing materials until you inform us that you no longer wish to receive these communications. When you are registered for receiving our newsletters or other marketing materials, we will retain your Personal Information for sending you these communications until you withdraw your consent.

When you leave us your business card or some other form of contact details, we will collect and use the contact details you provide us with. We also take pictures to show the ambient atmosphere at these events.

1. What information we collect from you

We collect and use your name, function, company you work for, other contact details, information about the products and/or services which we procure from you, invoicing and financial information and, when available, information about the quality of the products and/or services you provide. We obtain this information directly from our interactions with you or from the company on behalf of which you have been in contact with us.

2. Why we collect and use your information

We collect and use your information because this information is necessary to perform our agreement with you, or – when you act on behalf of a company – because it is in our interest to be able to fulfil our contractual obligations to that company. It is in our interest to keep track of the quality of the products and services provided to us.

3. How long we retain your information

We retain your information at minimum for the whole duration of our professional relationship with you and for ten (10) years thereafter and in any case until all legal and regulatory retention periods have ended.

In the normal course of serving you, Personal Information we collect may be shared with third parties such as our accountants, attorneys, custodians and financial institutions that provide services for Riverside in order to meet our obligations toward you or to deliver the requested services. Specifically, we may disclose to these third parties the Personal Information we collect for conducting our business with you. We require any third party that receives this information from Riverside to use it only for the services required and as allowed by applicable law or regulation. We do not permit third parties to share or use this Personal Information for any other purpose.

Riverside reserves the right to share your Personal Information in the event it sells licenses or transfers all or a portion of its business or assets. Should such a sale, lease or transfer occur, Riverside will make reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use Personal Information about you in a manner that is consistent with this notice and applicable law.

In the past twelve (12) months, Riverside has collected and disclosed Personal Information about California residents for the purposes listed above. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights related to our use of your Personal Information, including the following additional rights and choices:

K. Transfers to the United States and other territories

Riverside is a company based in the United States but has subsidiaries and suppliers across the world. Your Personal Information will therefore be transferred to other regions than the region where such information was initially collected. Riverside has taken the necessary measures to ensure that such transfer takes place in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

For residents in the EU, the United Kingdom, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland:  Riverside has put in place the necessary data transfer arrangements between its headquarters in the US and its subsidiaries as well as between Riverside and its suppliers.
